Every fitting, every job card, every pair — tracked from first appointment to final invoice.
CubeYogi built Stepwise Health's operations on Zoho CRM: one system connecting appointment booking, trial fittings, manufacturing job cards, orders, stock, and invoicing for a Chennai footwear brand developed in partnership with India's first diabetic hospital.
Below: the client, the gaps between a clinical fitting process and a retail sale, the six connected modules we built, three flagship workflows step by step, and what changed once it went live.

A footwear brand where every sale starts as a clinical fitting.

Stepwise Health designs diabetic and orthopedic footwear built on a simple idea: for someone living with diabetes, the wrong shoe isn't just uncomfortable, it's a health risk. The brand was developed in partnership with MV Diabetes, described as India's first diabetic hospital, and carries decades of clinical foot-care expertise into every pair — from the biomechanical outsole to the seamless, pressure-relieving lining.
That clinical foundation changes what a "sale" actually looks like. Diabetic and offloading footwear typically can't be picked off a shelf and worn home the way ordinary shoes can — it usually starts with a foot assessment, moves through a trial fitting to confirm size and any needed modification, and only then becomes an order that a manufacturing team builds to spec. Stepwise runs this process across two channels: online, through their website, and in person, at their Experience Store in Chennai.
CubeYogi's brief was to give that entire journey — appointment, assessment, trial, order, manufacturing job card, stock, and invoice — one connected home in Zoho CRM, so a fitting note taken at the counter and a booking made on the website end up on exactly the same customer record.
A clinical process, running through retail tools.
Fitting diabetic footwear correctly takes more steps than a normal shoe sale. Every one of those steps needed a place to live — and needed to connect to the step before and after it.
Two channels, one customer
Online requests and in-store walk-ins are the same customer journey, wearing two different hats.
- Online appointment requests and Experience Store walk-ins had no shared calendar
- A returning customer's earlier fitting notes weren't automatically visible at the next visit
- No single view of the day's bookings across both channels for staff to plan around
From trial to job card
A trial fitting produces exact specs. Those specs need to survive the trip to the workshop.
- No standardized job card connecting a trial's sizing and modification notes to production
- Production stage — cut, stitched, assembled, quality-checked — wasn't visible to sales
- Custom modifications risked being described differently at each handoff
Deposits, invoices, inventory
A custom order is rarely paid in one shot, and finished stock lives in two places at once.
- Deposit and balance payments on custom orders tracked separately from the order itself
- Invoices generated manually rather than pulling directly from order and payment records
- Finished-pair stock across the Experience Store and the online store not unified in one view
One CRM, guided by a process — not six disconnected tools.
CubeYogi built the entire journey inside Zoho CRM using custom modules and Blueprint automation, so every booking follows the same guided path from first contact to final invoice.
Six modules, one CRM
Appointments, trials, orders, manufacturing job cards, stock, and invoicing all live inside Zoho CRM instead of six disconnected tools.
Blueprint-guided process
A Zoho CRM Blueprint walks every booking through the correct stages — appointment, trial, order, job card, payment, invoice — so no step gets skipped.
Two channels, one calendar
Online appointment requests and Experience Store walk-ins land on the same calendar and the same customer record.
Trial notes drive the job card
Foot assessment and trial fitting notes feed directly into the manufacturing job card, so what's built matches what was fitted.
Production visible to sales
A job card's stage is visible from the front counter, without a phone call to the workshop to check.
Stock synced across channels
Finished pairs at the Experience Store and the online store are tracked in one product & stock module, not two.
Six modules, three flagship flows.
CubeYogi shipped the rebuild as six connected modules inside Zoho CRM. Three flows carry the bulk of the daily work — booking to trial, order to manufacturing, and payment to handover — all reading from the same customer record.
Appointment to Trial
Whether a customer books online or walks into the Experience Store, the journey needs to start the same way and land in the same place.
Appointment requested
A customer books online through the website or WhatsApp, or walks directly into the Experience Store in Chennai.
Booking lands on one calendar
Both channels write to the same Zoho CRM calendar, tagged Online or Walk-in, so staff plan the day from one view.
Foot assessment is logged
Trial staff record foot shape, pressure points, and any diabetic complications directly against the customer's record.
Trial fitting is tracked
Sizes and styles tried are logged as a trial record, with comfort notes and any modification the fit requires.
Trial converts to order
Once a fit is confirmed, the trial record converts directly into a sales order, carrying sizing and modification notes forward.
Order to Manufacturing Job Card
A confirmed order is really a build spec. That spec has to travel intact from the front counter to the workshop and back.
Order confirms
The converted order specifies product, size, and any custom modification — like an offloading insert or a seamless-lining adjustment.
Job card is generated
A manufacturing job card is created directly from the order, carrying every spec forward from the trial record.
Production stage updates
The job card moves through cutting, stitching, sole assembly, and quality check, with each stage logged against it.
Stock is allocated
Finished pairs are checked against the Product & Stock module, updating availability across the Experience Store and online.
Status syncs back
Sales and the customer-facing team see live job card status without a call to the workshop.

Payment, Invoice & Handover
Custom orders rarely close in one payment, and the paperwork at the end needs to match everything that happened before it.
Deposit is recorded
Many custom orders start with a deposit, logged directly against the order inside Zoho CRM.
Balance is tracked
The remaining balance is tracked automatically as the job card nears completion, with reminders where needed.
Invoice generates
A GST-compliant invoice generates directly from the order and payment records — no re-typing line items by hand.
Handover or dispatch
The pair is handed over at the Experience Store or dispatched, and the order is marked complete.
Customer record stays current
Appointment, trial, order, job card, and payment history all live on one customer record for the next visit.

Six modules, one customer record.
Every module reads from the same customer record, so a note taken during a trial fitting is still there when that customer books their next visit.

Straight from the hospital that co-developed the brand.
MV Diabetes brought 25+ years of clinical foot-care expertise to Stepwise Health's footwear. Here's how the CEO sees the CRM rebuild fitting into that partnership.
Stepwise Health exists because a shoe should never be the reason a diabetic patient ends up back in a hospital. Having every fitting, every modification, and every order tracked in one place means our clinical standards travel all the way to the finished pair.
What changed, in practice.
The rebuild gave a clinical, multi-step process a single home — so nothing gets lost between the counter, the workshop, and the invoice.
One CRM
Booking, trial, manufacturing, stock, and billing run in a single system.
Channels unified
Online and walk-in appointments share one calendar and one customer record.
Specs that travel
Every custom modification is traceable from trial note to finished pair.
Production status
Job card stage is visible from the counter, no call to the workshop.
Stock across channels
